The ASTEC Athletic Event Safety Policy maintains the safety and enjoyment of everyone attending ASTEC sporting events. This policy details security screening procedures, guidelines for school-age attendees, bag restrictions, and the re-entry policy.
Spectator Policies and Restrictions
Security Screening
To prevent prohibited items in the event venue, security personnel will use handheld security wands to screen all spectators before they enter the facility.
School-Age Attendees
An adult must accompany all school-age attendees at all times; we will not admit minors without a responsible adult.
Bag Restrictions
For safety and efficiency, no bags larger than 6" x 8" are permitted inside the facility, including purses, backpacks, and other large containers. Please plan accordingly and leave large bags at home.
Re-Entry Policy
If you leave the gym during the event, you must obtain a restroom pass for re-entry to help us manage security and maintain an accurate count of attendees.

Outside Food and Drinks
Outside food and drinks are strictly prohibited inside the gym. This policy helps us maintain the cleanliness of our facility and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
If teams or spectators wish to purchase food, we will have a designated area specifically for this purpose. Please enjoy any purchased food or drinks in the designated area only.
Compliance with Policies
It is essential that all attendees—including teams, spectators, and partners—respect these policies. Failure to comply will result in removal from the facility without exception.
