Latin I
Latin I introduces the Latin language and Classical culture (including mythology and history). Scholars communicate in languages other than English, gain knowledge and an understanding of other cultures, reinforce and further their knowledge of other content areas through the study of Latin, demonstrate an understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of Latin with other languages, and use the language both within and beyond the school setting.
Latin II
Prerequisite: The successful completion of Latin I
Latin II trains scholars in advanced Latin grammar, translation, and classical culture (including mythology and history). Scholars communicate in languages other than English, gain knowledge and an understanding of other cultures, reinforce and further their knowledge of other content areas through the study of Latin, demonstrate an understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of Latin with other languages, and use the language both within and beyond the school setting.
